Tucked Away

Tucked away you will find me. In a corner, on a shelf. I'm not seen there, or rather, they don't see me.
No since I've gone gray.
As the world turns in colour with lights and sound, I've gone gray.
Have you noticed? I almost didn't. Not until the teachers stopped asking me for the answers to there questions, looking uncomfortable when I offered. Not until students stopped breathing around me, as if it was contagious. Not in a rude way though, more like they were actually concerned for there health.
I don't blame them, it's subconscious for them really, to stare at me without seeing eyes as they think of what I've seen. Wondering if they will too, one day. If they too, will become grey.

I don't think so, though. They seem safe, all tucked away. And so am I. Tucked away in my grey little corner, with my grey little self....

Dr. Naan said to talk, so talk I will, but maybe I'm to grey to be listened to.
